Arkanshim has four spacial dimensions instead of three. Creatures native to branes with less dimension carry a pocket of slowly shrinking three dimensional space with them, while this permits survival, it still does not negate the inherent difficulty involved in traveling through more dimensions than one's native range.. Instead of planets it has large, blue, clouds of Thaumic Energy, their size getting to be as much as 30 light years Quadwisk. When studying this place scientist prefer to use specialized Thaumaconstructs, as magic retains its ability to function inside.
